Hisense washing machine does not spin

Hisense washing machine does not spin

It will be easy for the user to understand that the Hisense washing machine does not spin. The laundry in the drum will remain wet. The washing machine will try to accelerate to the required speed, but will not be able to, so it will immediately proceed to draining the waste liquid.

Why can this happen? What to do if you find wet laundry in the drum? Will you be able to fix the washing machine yourself? Let's look into the nuances.

Possible causes of failure

The worst thing a user can do is to ignore the problem. Some housewives continue to wash things in the machine and wring them out manually. This is not worth doing. The situation can only get worse, the device will break down completely, and repairing it will be much more difficult and expensive.

Therefore, as soon as you notice that the spin cycle is not working, immediately start diagnostics. The main reasons for such a malfunction are:

  • A program that does not include spinning has been started,
  • The algorithm settings were changed accidentally (sometimes users don’t even notice how they enable the “no spin” option),
  • The control module detected an overload or imbalance, so it turned off the spin for safety reasons,
  • The bearing unit is worn out,
  • The washing machine's electric motor has failed,
  • A foreign object has entered the tank, preventing the drum from spinning,
  • The drainage system does not work, which is why water from the tank cannot go into the sewer,
  • The control board is damaged.

Most of the above faults can be fixed by yourself, at home. You will have to call a technician if the control module is damaged. You also need to call the service center if the Hisense washing machine is still under warranty.

You should not try to repair a machine under warranty on your own. Even if you simply open the case of the washing machine and then reassemble it, you will be denied free after-sales service. Therefore, if the washing machine was purchased recently, immediately call the service center and ask to take the device for diagnostics.

The selected algorithm does not provide for spinning

One of the most common options. Users often start a program that does not include spinning and are surprised by wet items in the drum. The Hisense automatic machine will not spin the laundry when the following modes are started:

  • Wool,
  • Silk,
  • Downy things,
  • Delicate fabrics,
  • Hand wash,

It is also worth considering that Hisense machines have the ability to adjust the spin intensity. It is possible to set both the maximum and minimum drum rotation speed. Sometimes, due to carelessness, users activate the "No spin" option with this button.

How to check this guess? Start the quick wash mode, making sure that the spin is definitely provided. And at a speed of at least 800 rpm. During the cycle, carefully monitor the machine - this will help you notice at which stage the washing machine begins to work incorrectly.

If the Hisense washing machine does not spin anyway, you will have to "dig" further. Diagnostics are carried out from simple to more complex. Next, you need to exclude overload and imbalance of the drum.

The technology failed to cope with the imbalance

The next step is to make sure there is no imbalance. If the control module detects an imbalance in the drum, the washing machine will stop and the spin will not start. What can cause this effect?

This problem is typical for previous Hisense models, released more than five years ago. Modern washing machines are equipped with special sensors that prevent drum imbalance. If they still detect an imbalance, the "brain" immediately stops washing and displays the corresponding error code on the washing machine display.

Drum imbalance has characteristic "symptoms". How the machine behaves:

  • After washing and rinsing, the drum begins to spin for spinning,
  • When trying to “speed up” the drum, a hum and knock is heard,
  • The washing machine body vibrates strongly and may start to “jump”,
  • The control module, noticing this, cancels the spin and gives the command to drain the water from the tank,
  • As soon as all the water goes down the drain, the washing machine notifies you that the cycle is complete.

If an imbalance occurs, the washing program will end 20-25 minutes earlier than it should. The laundry in the drum will remain wet. How to solve this problem?

It is necessary to strictly adhere to the manufacturer's permissible loading weight. It is important to consider that there is both a maximum and a minimum indicator. Also, the weight will vary depending on the selected washing program.

Let's say the Hisense machine holds up to 6 kg of laundry. How much can you wash in it?

  • In the “Cotton” mode, the maximum load is 6 kg, the minimum is 1.5 kg.
  • When selecting the “Synthetics” algorithm, the maximum is 3 kg of laundry, the minimum is 1 kg.
  • On the "Silk" or "Delicate" mode, maximum 2 kg of clothes, etc.

Solving the problem in case of overloading of the washing machine is very simple. It is enough to pause the cycle, remove some of the laundry and continue washing. When the malfunction arose due to underweight, we act the opposite way - add several items to the drum.

If the cause of the imbalance is the laundry that has bunched up, you need to stop the cycle, wait until the hatch door unlocks and distribute the items evenly in the drum. After that, the program starts again.

Imbalance is dangerous. It not only prevents spinning, but also negatively affects the integrity of the rest of the washing machine components. The longer the washing machine tries to "speed up" the drum, the greater the chance that the bearings, crosspiece, shock absorbers, counterweights and other internal elements of the washing machine will be damaged.

The engine has lost power

Another possible reason for poor spinning is a broken motor. A faulty electric motor will not be able to spin the washing machine drum to the required speed. The machine will try to accelerate to maximum speed, but after several unsuccessful attempts, it will skip this stage and start draining.

To diagnose the Hisense washing machine engine:

  • Unplug the washing machine,
  • Detach the drain and inlet hoses from the machine,
  • Remove the back wall of the case by unscrewing the screws holding the panel,
  • Remove the drive belt from the pulley,
  • Take a photo of the wiring diagram for the engine,
  • Disconnect all wires and connectors from the electric motor,
  • Remove the bolts holding the engine,
  • Gently rock the motor to remove it from the washing machine housing.

When you get the engine in your hands, inspect it carefully. Often defects are visible to the naked eye. There may be black spots on the surface, areas with damaged insulation. Sometimes the engine emits a distinct smell of burning.

It is also worth inspecting the engine brushes. The graphite rods wear out over time. They are always changed in pairs, approximately every 3-5 years of operation of the washing machine.

If the motor looks OK, test the engine with a multimeter. The resistance of the electric motor is checked. If it is below the norm, we can talk about a short circuit. If it is higher, there is a break in the stator or rotor winding. In this case, repair will not help, you will need to replace the unit.

And finally, the Hisense washing machine may stop spinning due to damage to the control board. The module coordinates the operation of all machine units. Therefore, if a failure occurs, the behavior of the washing machine becomes incorrect. It is recommended to entrust diagnostics and repair of the electronic unit to specialists.
