The foam remains in the washing machine after washing

The beauty of an automatic washing machine is that you can run it and forget about washing it for several hours. Many owners of such machines can even go shopping or do their business while the machine is working at home on its own. People rarely follow the operation of the machine from beginning to end; only children and cats are fond of this. However, sometimes when checking, you can find that foam remains in the washing machine, which begins to climb out of the washer body, get into the drum and even onto the floor. Why is this happening, and how to fix it?

Where does all this foam come from?

During the appearance of foam clubs, there is no time to think about why they appeared because you need to correct the situation urgently. First of all, disconnect the machine from the mains so that there is no short circuit, which can cause a breakdown of the home assistant. After de-energizing the equipment, remove all foam from the electronic control panel using a dry rag. Then remove the clothes from the drum and run the rinsing program to remove the foam from the tub.

You must use the rinse mode at least twice to remove the foam. Only after rinsing can you relax and move on to find the problem that caused the foam puffs. There are many reasons for the sudden appearance of foam. And given that many of them can send the washer to the scrap, they should be identified and eliminated on time.

  • Perhaps a poor-quality washing powder was used, created with violations, or simply fake.
  • Instead of powder for the machine, use a hand wash.
  • The powder is correct, but too much has been added.
  • There was too much not only powder but also voluminous things.
  • The machine used soft water of good quality.

Sometimes another problem arises - there is little foam, but it spills out along with water from the machine body onto the floor. This is an unpleasant signal that the equipment has broken down and needs to be repaired. This problem may appear due to nozzles, tanks, hoses or pump leaks. Also, such leaks can occur due to damage to the gaskets in the washer, say, the rubber cuff of the hatch.

Poor-quality laundry detergent

Anyone can encounter low-quality washing powder because it can hide low-quality products, even behind well-known expensive brands. When buying familiar products, you may one day find that after washing, clouds of foam climb out of your machine, although before, with this powder, the washing went like clockwork. Why did it happen this time?

Most homemakers buy only well-known detergents for the typewriter, and this applies not only to powders but also to more expensive gels. At the same time, one can only check even a familiar product after the purchase by opening a pack with a product and examining the chemical composition. Even after an unsuccessful wash with low-quality products, you are unlikely to be able to prove that it was the chemistry that caused the washing machine to break down, so no one will compensate your losses.

Unscrupulous manufacturers of low-quality products and the creators of counterfeit powders use this situation. Some buy huge batches of the cheapest products, packaged from expensive products. But it's even worse when manufacturers use industrial components and create an "explosive mixture" that is immediately dangerous for people and equipment. If everything was always okay with your machine, and after buying a new powder, foam suddenly started, you likely ran into low-quality household chemicals.

But if everything were always to blame only for counterfeit or low-quality powder, then everything would be much simpler. However, often the users of sophisticated equipment themselves are to blame for foam leaks, who mistakenly used the wrong detergent. Most often, foam leakage occurs due to using chemicals for hand washing instead of means for the machine. Also, sometimes an excessive amount of powder for the machine is added to the cuvette of the machine - due to the abundance of powder. The foam will also take a little time.

How to reduce foaming?

Foam clouds are a beautiful phenomenon, but dangerous for sophisticated equipment and even require a long cleaning. To avoid this effect, follow simple recommendations.

  • Never add hand washing powder to the machine.
  • Always buy quality, proven detergents.
  • Only add a little powder. In this case, more is not better. Experts, on the contrary, advise adding fewer chemicals, not more. If you have soft water at home, add half the powder the manufacturer recommends.
  • Do you have a large wash and items like voluminous blankets? Reduce the powder dose by two-thirds so the foam does not appear, and everything is washed well.
